About the FD1045

The FD1045 is a thermal magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the FD type of molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker features ratings of 45 Amps of current rating, 347 Volts AC, a single pole, 35 kAIC at 277 Volts AC, 18 kAIC at 347 Volts AC, and a fixed thermal. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker is housed in a Frame F enclosure. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker is effectively applicable during the existence of high-fault levels and in systems where the capability for limiting the current is utilized upstream of the final load for current limitations. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker is equipped with line and load terminals that enhance easy connecting of the wires for the desired ranges of continuous current ratings and the type of cables used. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker features a switch which is designed as a compact switch in applications that require a high current switching capability.

Slotted screws, 2 pan-head screws, and lock washers are the equipment used for securing the circuit breaker wire connecting terminal. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker load and line terminal conductors are located in the conducting holes of the cable connecting terminal and they are held firmly by recessed socket screws. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker is made from a glass-polyester material that inhibits the growth of fungus. Any part of the Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker that might be subjected to fungus growth should be specially treated to prevent the growth. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker is suitable for providing circuit protection for low-voltage distribution applications. The Cutler-Hammer FD1045 circuit breaker serves as a complete circuit breaker that is assembled as an integral unit to provide support and an enclosure for housing the insulating material.
