About the FD3200

The Eaton (Cutler-Hammer) FD3200 is an industrial circuit breaker. In industrial surroundings, this device has a function to provide protection to both the equipment and the equipment operator. The device will do this in the event of a circuit overload. In this situation, the FD3200 “trips” and opens its contacts so there is no current in the electrical circuits behind this MCCB. This unit is 200 Amps rated and users can supply up to 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC voltages at its input side. The FD3200 offers circuit protection for a wide range of products and applications. It is usually applied to electrical mains, branches, and industrial production equipment. Like all F-frame MCCBs, the FD3200 is also suitable for reverse feed use. In the case of a trip fault, the operator has to move the handle on the front of the device to reset the circuit pathway. The handle must be moved to the “off” position and then to the “on” position to apply power behind the MCCB.

The FD3200 is shipped with an approximate weight of 4.5 pounds (2.0 kilograms). The size of this F-frame module is impressive because the device can handle up to 200 Amps of current, but the dimensions are only 4.13 x 6.00 x 3.38 inches (104.3 x 152.4 x 85.7 millimeters). For installation purposes, this module requires a DIN rail that it can be mounted on. When users position the MCCB in the electrical cabinet, the next step of installation is to connect the wires on the input side and the output side. Then the users can apply power and move the handle on the front side of the device to “on” position. After this, the FD3200 is fully functional.
