About the FDC2225

The Cutler-Hammer Eaton FDC2225 is an F-frame Complete Circuit Breaker. This device comes from C series of Molded Case Circuit Breakers developed by Eaton Corporation for protection of electric circuits from overcurrents and short-circuits. This module is best suited to most general-purpose applications. For ground faults and short-circuits, this device acts instantaneously, while it will allow momentary current surges that may occur on motor starting and transformer inrush by providing delay time. You can integrate the FDC2225 into your electrical circuits if the voltage rating is below 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The Cutler-Hammer FDC2225, like all F-Frame circuit breakers, is a good fit for reverse feed use. It is HACR rated. The current rating of this Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breaker is 225 Amps.

It has a fixed tripping value. The frequency rating of the module is 50 to 60 Hertz. The product is UL listed. Its weight is 2 pounds (0.91 kilograms). It is enclosed in a plastic housing and closed with 4 screws to protect the operator from contacting the internal mechanism. The FDC2225 is shipped with terminals installed on the load end only. On the lower part of the module, users will find the “push-to-trip” button. This button is used to check the tripping function. Users will push it periodically to exercise the operating mechanism and to be sure that the device is still operating in a manner that provides adequate protection to electrical circuits. Before taking any action on device cleaning or maintenance, make sure the circuit breaker is switched off.
