About the HFD4060

The HFD4060 circuit breaker is a molded case circuit breaker designed and manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. This Series C device also belongs to the HFD series of Eaton circuit breakers. It comes inside a NEMA F-Frame enclosure for protection, and it is a complete breaker device. The HFD4060 circuit breaker runs with an operating frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. The running temperature for this circuit breaker device is in the range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. This device is 3.38 inches long, 5.5 inches high, and 5.5 inches wide in dimensions. It also comes certified with the UL standard. It is a 4-pole device.

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HFD4060 circuit breaker also comes with a handle on the front of the breaker. It is used to turn the device on and off. The circuit breaker comes with a button for checking the device’s current status. This button can be used manually to see the current breaker function of the device. It is best suited for single-phase AC circuits but it comes with protected poles for the DC circuits. The thermal and magnetic trip are kept fixed in this variant. The loadside terminal is only present with this type of circuit breaker device. The HFD4060 device protects the entire machine circuitry from excessive current conditions. It is widely used in factories and industries like those that make motors, complex systems, powerboards, etc. It continuously monitors the system for unusual current activity and turns off the circuit for an overload current.
