The Eaton GDB2025 is a G-frame GDB type circuit breaker. It is a 2-pole breaker with 25 Amps of current rating. GDB circuit breakers are thermal-magnetic 2 and 3-pole devices that are available in current ratings from 15 to 50 Amps for the 2-pole model and from 15 to 100 Amps current for the 3-pole model. These circuit breakers are UL certified and they are designed for use with the Eaton power line type 2 panel-boards or equivalent. An under-voltage release mechanism, a lock dog, an auxiliary switch and a shunt trip are available as accessories for GHB circuit breakers.
The GDB2025 is rated for 125/250 Volts DC or 480 Volts AC voltage and 50 or 60 Hertz frequency. A fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit is integrated into the breaker. In the event of a thermal trip, the breaker must be allowed to cool sufficiently before it can be reset. The GDB2025 is rated for 14 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. Terminals on the GDB2025 are of the pressure type (aluminum body). The screw head is of the slotted type. Copper or aluminum wire (#10 to 1/0 AWG) is recommended for use on the termination. In the case of aluminum conductors, it is suggested that a joint solution be used to prevent overheating of the terminals. The GDB2025 should be inspected on a periodic basis. Before the inspection, the GDB2025 must be switched to the off position. It must also be ensured that there is no voltage in the work area. The G-frame GDB2025 weighs 1.37 pounds. The dimensions of the GDB2025 are 2.75 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches.
