About the GDB3050

The GDB3050 is a thermal magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the GDB type of molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker features ratings of 50 Amps current rating, 480 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz, 3 poles, 3 phases, 125 or 250 Volts DC, 14 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and a fixed magnetic trip type. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker is contained in Frame G type of enclosure. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker is configured with a control wire terminal kit for providing a way of tapping off the control power from the circuit breaker by deploying the male end of the circuit breaker. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker has terminal shields designed for protection against an accidental contact with live line side terminations. The terminal shields are made from high dielectric insulating components and to be installed at the opening access of the front terminal.

The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker case and the end cover fit together, forming terminal compartments which separate the discharged ionizing gases when the circuit breaker is tripping. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker is equipped with an interphase barrier that offers an extra electrical clearance between the 3 poles to make it suitable for applications that require special terminations. The interphase barrier is a high dielectric insulating plate which is mounted in the molded slots located in between the terminals. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker is configured with a non-padlockable handle that retains the circuit breaker handle in the on and off position. The trip-free function enables the Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker to trip when the handle is in the on position. The module is located over the Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker handle and it is fitted with a setscrew to avoid the accidental operation of the circuit breaker handle. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3050 circuit breaker has a padlockable handle lock for preventing the movement of the handle unintentionally.
