About the JD2225

The JD2225 is a thermal-magnetic circuit breaker that has been manufactured and designed by Cutler-Hammer. This circuit breaker is distributed by the Eaton Corporation. It belongs to Series C of the Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers, specifically to the Frame J frame range. The Cutler-Hammer JD2225 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker has a standard interrupting capacity of 35 symmetrical Amps at a specific voltage of 480 Volts AC. It operates with a full range voltage of up to 600 Volts AC, a frequency of 50/60 Hertz, and a maximum continuous amperage of 225 Amps at a temperature of up to 40 degrees Celsius. The maximum ambient air temperature recommended for the Cutler-Hammer JD2225 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is 40 degrees Celsius.

If a higher ambient temperature than 40 degrees Celsius is required, then a new calibration process must be performed or the breaker has to be derated.
