The 100% rated Eaton CND3800T107W is a complete 3-pole circuit breaker. It is a CND type of circuit breaker with 800 Amps of current rating and 600 Volts AC of voltage rating. The frequency specifications for the breaker are 50 and 60 Hertz. It is rated at 85 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and at 50 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. The operation of the CND3800T107W at 100% rating requires an enclosure with the following dimensions: a minimum of 1066.8 millimeters in height, 577.85 millimeters in width, and 292.1 millimeters in depth. The complete CND3800T107W is supplied with an electronic OPTIM 1050 LSIA trip module. The 1050 is a programmable unit and it supports diagnostics, communications, RMS sensing, and monitoring of the load, current harmonics, power, and energy. The trip unit can be damaged by hi-potting or the application of external power to any combination of the yellow, green, gray, or white leads. Damage to the trip unit could lead to death, severe personal injury, or property damage.
Connections to these leads should only be made as recommended by the manufacturer and detailed in the relevant installation manual. However, terminals are not provided with the breaker. The NG-frame CND3800T107W weighs 20.4 kilograms and ventilation space is not a requirement for the CND3800T107W. The CND3800T107W must be operated with the cover installed. To prevent breaker damage and nuisance tripping, a joint compound should be used when aluminum conductors are used. Hazardous voltages can lead to death or severe injury and therefore creepage spacings and the original specified electrical clearances should be maintained at the terminations.
Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPNs) are often difficult to read. Here are some commonly mistaken versions for the CND3800T107W:
