About the LGFCT400

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer LGFCT400 Electronic Circuit Breaker is a Series G, Frame LG, a high-performance circuit breaker with an electronic trip unit, used for circuit protection in a variety of global applications. This circuit breaker features true RMS current sensing, with state-of-the-art high-speed blow open action contact that uses electromechanical force produced by high-level fault current. It is used to provide both main and branch circuit protection in applications like Panel Boards, Feeder Pillars, and Machine tools control panel. The LGFCT400 is a 3-pole designed breaker with no neutral protection and is AC rated only for use with applications with 600 Volt AC maximum line voltages. It has an IEC, CSA, and UL rated interrupting capacities of 35, 50, 70, 100, 150, and 200 KAIC at 415/480 Volt AC, and it has a nominal current rating if 400 Amps. The LGFCT400 has Arcflash Reduction Maintenance System embedded within its electronic trip unit for reliable and reduced fault clearing time and it has a built-in over temperature trip capability, which provides protection in the event that the operating temperature exceeds the designated value. It has adjustable Short time, Long time, Ground Fault, and Instantaneous pickup settings, and a long delay powered thermal memory that remembers timing sequence of past overload events and auto-correct subsequent event with shorter delay timing. The LGFCT400 has a long time delay time range of 2 to 24 seconds, with a short time delay of up to 300 milliseconds, and it also has an instantaneous override with pre-set below nominal withstand for added protection. This breaker is 100% rated within a -20 to 85 degree Celsius operating temperature range, and a 0 to 95% non-condensing and non-corrosive relative humidity range. The LGFCT400 weighs approximately 16 pounds (Terminal inclusive), and has shipping dimensions of 5.5 x 10.1 x 4.1 inches.
